Honolulu Museums
Honolulu has more then a dozen museums four you to visit. The Honolulu museums range from many different things. You can find science, history, jewellery, culture, royalty, and many more types of museums. You won’t be able to visit all of these Honolulu museums in one day, although some are very small there is just too many.

» Bishop Museum
Bishop museum was founded in 1889 by Charles Reed Bishop. It offers a vast variety of different exhibits to view. The museum is home to Hawaiian royalty artifacts, science exhibits, native artifacts, and contemporary pieces.
This excellent Honolulu museum offeres guided tours daily in English and Japanese, with admission being $14.95 for adults and $11.95 for children.
» Honolulu Contemporary Museum
This museum is located on top of a mountain, and is home to six different galleries, featuring changing exhibits. You can find art by local, and international known artists. There is an outdoor sculpture garden that has permanent sculptures which can be viewed.
The estate is set on a beautiful botanical garden, and a map of the garden is available. On every third Thursday of each month the museum can be viewed with free admission.
» Lucoral Museum
If you want to learn about the wonders of the sea, then this museum will be sure to amaze you. It’s located in Waikiki so it is very easily accessible. You can view exhibits showing how corals and pearls transform into jewellery. You can see endangered plants and birds in the museum as well. If volcanoes interest you they have a whole area showcasing Hawaii’s volcanic past.
This Honolulu museum has an area where you can purchase local arts and crafts, it’s a great way to bring something home from the island for a reasonable price. All the things they sell are made from materials from the island.
You can choose to view many more museums while visiting Honolulu, but if you only want to spend some of your precious vacationing time viewing museums. Then I suggest visiting at least one of the three we have listed above. They are all great Honolulu museums and you will be able to have a great time with your whole family.
